WHAT IS A FIRM'S CULTURE?
As a practicing attorney, you have probably learned that the substantive work
at different law firms is not too dissimilar. One of our roles is to assist
you in distinguishing one firm from another. Each firm's culture is complex,
characterized collectively by the actions of individuals. We have an
historical as well as contemporary perspective on what has shaped a firm's
reputation, and we address the sensitive issues of race and gender that affect
lawyers and law firms.
Mr. Mazie is an active member of the Board of Directors of The National
Conference, and is Chair of the Youth Programs Committee for the Washington
D.C. area. The National Conference, founded in 1927 as The National Conference
of Christians and Jews, is a human relations organization dedicated to fighting
bias, bigotry and racism in America. The National Conference promotes
understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures through
advocacy, conflict resolution and education. For more information on The
National Conference, contact Mazie & Company.
